Applanix is an industry that develops, manufacture, sell, and support Mobile Mapping products and solutions. Here is a presentation of their most recent product catalog (year 2012) that was worked on. The company approached a need for a fresher, cleaner look, compared to their previous catalogs, and wanted something that still spoke to their target audiences.

Grace Fellowship Church is an independent local church located in Rexdale, just north of Toronto. Recently, because of the growth and the change in the church since it's plant, they had requested a need to overhaul the identity and look of the church to better reflect it's characteristics. The project took over 2 months with all it's conceptual development, briefings, etc., and resulted in a logo that met what was lacking in their previous one.
Further rationale:
A circle is used as the icon graphic because it represent idealogies and principles of the church as founded on wholeness, focus, unity, nurturing, centering, and mobility. The colour blue represents stability, trust, depth, and masculinity.
The graphic, which is a sapling with two leaves, reflects the church's commitment to spiritual health, multiplication of church plants, growth, and life-nurturing. The swirl was carried on into the new identity because I wanted to maintain some aspect of continuity from the previous logo and I find it functions to represent and depict grace -- which being very abstract and carries no image of it's own.
The primary typeface Sabon LT was picked out of many others because, other than it being an old style face, it carries a rich history of it being used in church history, mostly in the late 20th century. The face has a traditional appeal and best represents Grace Fellowship Church's commitment to orthodoxy and historical reformation. The secondary typeface Swiss 721, on the other hand, reflects the contemporary contextualization of the church in the 21st century. Even though the church holds to historical orthodoxy, it seeks to apply rich principles in the modern world.

A personalized cover letter and resume which I had sent in to Hariri Pontarini Architects (a well renowned architectural firm in Toronto) when they we're hiring for a Junior to Intermediate designer. The design reflects the colours and geometric language of their firm and it insinuates some aspect of architectural communication.

Electronic Music Society @ York (EMSAY) is an electronic music group/club that functioned on the campus -- at York university -- as a community that nurtured and promoted local talents of campus by holding various workshops and events. I was volunteering and worked along side the marketing aspect of the club and was asked to redesign their old logo that lacked in communicating what the club reflected.
